A Hampstead man was arrested and was held without bond after allegedly assaulting a woman.
Gordon Phillip-William March, 50, of the 800 block of Clearview Ave., is charged with first-degree assault and second-degree assault in relation to a Dec. 7 incident, according to electronic court documents.
Carroll County Sheriff’s deputies responded around 12:10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 7 to a home on Clearview Avenue, Hampstead, for a call of an assault, and found a woman laying on the front porch being treated by emergency medical providers, according to charging documents.
The woman alleged to police that March had been drinking and had choked her, thrown her through the door of the house and had kicked her multiple times “with his boots in the body and face,” according to charging documents.
Police then found March inside the home and he allegedly told them he had not assaulted the woman and, when asked if he possessed any weapons, allegedly said, “only my boots," according to charging documents.
March was placed under arrest and taken to Carroll County Central Booking where he was still held without bail Monday after a bail review, according to electronic court records.
