A Westminster woman was arrested Wednesday after she allegedly assaulted another woman at Ebb Valley Elementary School.
Rachel Marie Frazier, 34, of the 2000 block of Sykesville Drive in Westminster, was charged with one count each of second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, disturbing operations at a school and disorderly conduct. She was released on a posted bail of $2,000, online court records show as of Thursday morning.
According to the statement of probable cause, Frazier was at Ebb Valley Elementary to retrieve her child from an aftercare program at about 5:47 p.m. when she got in another woman’s face and began to argue with her about an earlier incident in the school’s cafeteria.
Frazier pulled the woman to the ground, then began punching the woman and kneeing her in the face repeatedly, according to the statement. An officer from the Manchester Police Department noted swelling around the woman’s eyes and dried blood. The alleged victim was checked by the Manchester Volunteer Fire Company but refused treatment or transport, according to the statement.
Children who were still at the school were taken from the cafeteria to the school’s gym area during the assault, the statement said.
Frazier was arrested at 6:14 p.m. and taken to the Carroll County Detention Center, the statement says.
Frazier did not have an attorney listed in online court records as of Thursday morning. A court date is scheduled for June 28.
