A Reisterstown man was arrested in Westminster on Wednesday after he allegedly hit a woman in the face with a closed fist multiple times and threw a stroller at her.
Ryan David Oram, 27, of the 100 block of Hammershire Road in Reisterstown, was charged with one count each of fourth-degree burglary, third-degree burglary and second-degree assault. He was held without bond at the Carroll County Detention Center as of Thursday morning, according to online court records.
According to the statement of probable cause, a Carroll County Sheriff’s Office deputy was called for a report of an assault in the 300 block of Fair Ave. in Westminster at about 3:40 p.m. Wednesday.
The victim told the deputy when he arrived that Oram struck her “in the left side of the face with a closed fist and proceeded to push her against the front door” when she tried to leave the residence, according to the statement. Oram struck her in the face again and attempted to throw her over the railing of the porch, before pulling her hair and removing a lock of her hair, the statement said.
Oram threw a stroller at the victim, pushed her against the railing again and hit her in the face again before leaving in an SUV, according to the statement.
