Mount Airy woman indicted on theft scheme charges

A Mount Airy woman was arrested Jan. 31 following her criminal indictment on multiple theft scheme charges, court records show.

Dana Louise Coleman, 46, of the 14000 Block of Harrisville Road, has been charged with three counts of theft scheme of more than $500 and one count of theft scheme of $10,000 to $100,0000, court records show.

Coleman was held without bond on Jan. 31 before the court released her on her own recognizance on Thursday, Feb. 7, according to electronic court records.

The criminal indictment alleges that Coleman stole more than $500 from A&D 24-Hour Towing Inc. and A&D Auto Parts Inc. in New Windsor and allegedly made more than $500 in unauthorized transactions from A&D’s bank account between January 2008 and January 2015.

Coleman, the indictment alleges, between January 2008 and January 2012 made more than $500 in unauthorized payments for uniforms.

Finally, the indictment alleges that from January 2010 through January 2015 she made at least $10,000 but less than $100,000 in unauthorized transactions from A&D’s bank account.

Coleman could not be reached at the phone number listed for her in court records Friday, Feb. 8. No other court date is scheduled for Coleman, according to electronic court records.
