On Oct. 29, a Carroll County Sheriff’s Office deputy was notified that a female middle school student in the county reported that she had been sexually assaulted in early October, according to the application for statement of charges. According to the statement, the girl disclosed to someone that Zorn invited her into his residence to smoke marijuana. The girl said she fell asleep, and awoke to Zorn “having his fingers down her pants” and inserting them into her genitals, according to the statement.

After reporting the incident, according to the statement, Zorn reportedly harassed the girl and tried to talk to her. He also reportedly was observed outside of the girl’s window with a flashlight in the early morning hours of Oct. 31, according to the statement.

Zorn was held without bail, and has a court date scheduled for Jan. 9.
