A Manchester man was arrested Sunday after he allegedly punched a woman while she was driving and later struck another woman.
Bruce Wayne Blevins, 56, of the 3200 block of York Street, was charged with two counts of second-degree assault. He is being held on $25,000 bail following a Monday bail review, according to electronic court records.
According to the statement of probable cause, Blevins was the passenger in a car when he entered into an argument with the driver during which he grabbed the wheel and attempted to crash the vehicle. He then began punching the driver in the back of her head as she was attempting to control the vehicle, the statement says.
Upon arriving at the destination, Blevins began arguing with another woman and pushed her against a wall and began striking her, causing red marks and bruising to her face, according to the statement.
A man was able to detain Blevins until officers of the Manchester Police Department responded, according to the statement.
