A Keymar woman was arrested Thursday after she allegedly attempted to hit a bicyclist with her vehicle.
Lisa Diane Blessing, 31, of the 1900 block of Keysville Road in Keymar, was charged with one count of first-degree assault. She was held on $10,000 bail as of 11:15 a.m. Friday, according to electronic court records.
According to the application for statement of charges, Blessing drove south on Keysville Road and passed a man on his bicycle. She then turned around and began driving toward the man on the bicycle in the northbound lane. The man jumped off the bicycle, and Blessing’s vehicle hit the bicycle, according to the statement.
The responding Carroll County Sheriff’s Office deputy noted that the bicycle’s handlebars were “not perpendicular to the front wheel as a normal bicycle should be” and found what looked like the vehicle’s emblem or logo in the roadway, according to the statement.
Blessing did not have an attorney listed in online court records Friday morning. A court date had not been set.
