Police have arrested a Westminster man they said robbed the BB&T Bank on Englar Road on Monday.
Aaron Christopher Robertson, 30, of the unit block of Charles Street, was arrested at his residence Wednesday morning without incident, according to a new release from the Westminster Police Department.
He has been charged with one count each of robbery and theft of $1,500 to $25,000, according to electronic court records.
As of 3 p.m. Wednesday, Robertson was being held without bail at the Carroll County Detention Center after seeing a court commissioner. He had yet to go before a judge for a bail review, according to electronic court records.
At around 4:50 p.m. Monday, an unknown white male, later identified as Robertson through a police investigation, entered the bank, located at 401 Englar Road, according to police. His face was partially covered by dark sunglasses. He presented a note demanding money from a teller, then fled the scene in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.
No employees or customers were injured during the robbery.
