A Sykesville man was initially being held without bond Monday morning before being released later in the day after he was charged with assault Sunday, Jan. 13.
Dalton Michael Glover, 22, of the 100 block of West Old Liberty Road in Sykesville, is charged with two counts of second-degree assault and one count of first-degree assault, according to electronic court records.
Carroll County sheriff’s deputies responded to a home on West Old Liberty Road in Sykesville around 12:05 p.m. Sunday for a call of an assault.
According to charging documents, conflicting accounts from multiple witnesses told police that Glover struck and choked another man, and potentially engaged in mutual physical struggle with up to three other people.
Glover was arrested on “suspicion of committing first and second degree assault,” according to charging documents.
Initially held without bond, Glover was released on his own recognizance Monday following a bail review, according to electronic court records. A trial is scheduled for Feb. 13 in Carroll County District Court.
When reached by phone Monday afternoon, Glover said, “this is [expletives deleted],” and had no further comment.
