A Westminster man was arrested Sunday after he allegedly committed assault.
David Kenneth Harris, 23, was charged with second-degree assault. He was held without bond Sunday before he was released on his own recognizance Monday, according to electronic court records.
According to the statement of probable cause, the victim reported Harris had grabbed their neck and pinned them to a bed. The victim punched Harris in the face to get away, according to the statement.
Police observed a “swollen abrasion below [the victim’s] right eye” and thumb-shaped bruising on the right side of their neck, according to the statement.
Maryland State Police responded to the incident.
Harris and his lawyer, Daniel Green, both declined to comment when reached by the Times. A court date is scheduled for Aug. 7.
