Sheriff’s Office seeking suspect in New Windsor armed robbery

Police are seeking the public’s help in relation to an armed robbery at the 7-Eleven in New Windsor early Monday morning.

Carroll County sheriff’s deputies responded to the store in the 2800 block of New Windsor Road after the robbery was reported at approximately 3:11 a.m. Dec. 10.

Deputies spoke to a store clerk upon arrival, who reported that a man entered the store and displayed a blunt object and demanded cash. After receiving money, the suspect pushed the clerk and fled on foot, according to a news release from the Sheriff’s Office.

The suspect is described as a white male, wearing glasses, a black mask, navy blue hooded sweatshirt, gray pants and gloves, according to the release. He was captured on surveillance footage inside the store.

Deputies checked the area with the assistance of a K-9 unit from the Mount Airy Police Department and the Maryland State Police Aviation Division, but were unable to track down the suspect, according to the release.
