Westminster police responded to a call of a possible assault at about 6:01 p.m. Saturday at a home on Mathias Court, according to charging documents.

Another woman had called police on behalf of a man who had knocked on her door, according to charging documents, and that woman directed police to the home where a man sat on a sofa with “blood running down the left side of his neck.”

In speaking with police, the man alleged that he and Albright had gotten into an argument and that Albright had thrown a bag of food at him. He also alleged that the woman then grabbed him by the neck, choking him for what he estimated to be about one minute, according to charging documents.

Albright allegedly told police that she believed the man had gotten the cut on his neck from falling on the sidewalk while going to ask the other woman to call the police. But that woman, who had called police, told law enforcement that the man had been bleeding when he arrived at her door and had fallen afterward, according to charging documents.

Albright was arrested and taken to central booking, remaining there until she was released Monday after posting a $1,000 bail, according to electronic court records. She is scheduled to appear in Carroll County District Court for a preliminary hearing on April 10.

When called for comment Monday, a woman answering the phone number on record for Albright said it was a wrong number.
