A Westminster woman was arrested Friday after she allegedly entered a woman's residence and punched her.

Liquida Brittany Adams, 21, of the unit block of Charles Street, was charged with one count each of second-degree assault, third-degree burglary and fourth-degree burglary — dwelling. She was initially held without bail and released Monday on $1,500 unsecured bond, according to electronic court records.

According to the statement of charges, a Westminster Police Department officer responded to a residence for a reported assault. A woman told police that she and Adams, who was known to her, had argued earlier in the day over social media, at which time Adams made a threat of physical violence.

The woman said she heard a knock on the door later that afternoon. When she answered, Adams forced her way into the residence and pushed the woman down before striking her in the head with a closed fist. She then grabbed her hair and drug her, the woman told police, according to the statement.

A witness overheard the noise and entered the residence, at which time Adams left, according to the statement.

An officer observed swelling, bruising and abrasions to the woman’s face as well as a lump on the back of her head, according to the statement.

No telephone number was listed for Adams. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 11.
