Gwen Handler, whose family lives on Hill Farm and raises sheep, among other animals, was a part of this weekend's 10th annual Carroll County Artists' Studio Tour. The two-day event involves 13 artists and spans across the county's entirety, showcasing studios of local artists working in painting, pottery, jewelry, fiber arts and more.

While others focus on their holiday shopping, or wait in line to see Santa at the local mall, painter and the Rev. Peter Gray is embracing the true spirit of the season this December with his new exhibition, detailing the journeys of Jesus, Joseph, Mary and Ann. The exhibit, running until Sunday, Dec. 18 at Bon Secours in Marriottsville, features 25 pieces of artwork telling the story of the birth and early life of Jesus.
