Each year, the Collings Foundation, which runs an aviation museum out of their headquarters in Stow, Massachusetts, takes their collection of vintage World War II aircraft across the country for their Wings of Freedom Tour. They stopped at the Carroll County Regional Airport in Westminster this past weekend.


The sounds of construction echoed down Shaeffer Avenue in Westminster as Habitat for Humanity of Carroll County broke ground on its newest project, each pound one step closer to a new life for the Dorsey family. And although the day's weather was overcast and dreary, excitement was high and emotions were bright.

Those at the second annual Oyster Stroll turned out for the street fair despite Saturday's rain showers. Groups walked from booth to booth trying oysters from different farms, seasoning with sauces or lemon juice before throwing them back like a shot.

This year's Carroll County Agriculture Center corn maze is Maryland-themed, and participants will have the opportunity to answer Maryland trivia while exploring the more than 10-acre grain labyrinth.
