Hena Shami is part of 4 percent of Carroll County Public Schools staff that is not Caucasian. <a href="http://www.carrollcountytimes.com/news/local/cc-south-carroll-teacher-hena-shami-diversity-20190301-story.html">The 26-year-old South Carroll High School chemistry teacher</a> is a first-generation American, who was born in Maryland to a Muslim Pakistani family, and loves her students.
