The Carroll County Chamber's winners from the November 2013 Small Business Awards were nominated for the 2014 Maryland Chamber of Commerce Business Breakthrough Awards held May 29.
The following Carroll County businesses won:
Well Advantage, with 11-50 employees; and Jiffy Mart and Tevis Motor Fuel, 51-200 employees.
The Maryland Chamber of Commerce, along with its local chamber and association partners, established this awards program in 2001 to recognize the excellence in innovation, growth and entrepreneurial spirit of Maryland's small businesses. Renamed the Maryland Business Breakthrough Awards in 2013, the recognition is presented based on company size, growth and innovation, competitiveness in the market and contributions to the community.
