On April 25, Mathew Erickson, a seventh-grader at The Montessori School of Westminster, joined InfoPathways' professional network technicians for a week of job shadowing. He worked as a network technician while there.

Erickson's experience included working in various client offices within the Carroll County. He was given the opportunity to work directly with clients: He set up and installed new computer systems, eradicated spyware from an infected computer, created a virtual Windows 7 test computer, re-installed a Windows 7 operating system, backed up user data, prepared used equipment for recycling and assisted in implementing on-site search engine optimization techniques for a website in development. InfoPathways' network technicians also challenged Erickson with a few technical glitches that he tackled with great enthusiasm.
