Members of the 17 Lions clubs in Region IV (Carroll County), District 22W, Lions Clubs International -- and members of the Century, Liberty and Francis Scott Key high schools' Leo clubs -- attended the Leader Dog Banquet April 24 at Gamber Fire Hall.
This was the last of four banquets held each year in District 22W, consisting of Lions clubs from Carroll County west through Garrett County. All clubs in District 22W made donations to the Leader Dogs for the Blind training school, founded by the Lions in Rochester, Michigan, at one of these banquets.
Total donations made at the four banquets this year were $22,335, with $7,215 being donated at the Carroll County banquet.
