The United Way of Central Maryland's Carroll County Community Partnership Board announced the addition of two members, further bolstering the organization's ability to help more Carroll County residents become self-sufficient.
New members are Sharon A. Shinsky, human resources specialist for Procter & Gamble, NA Cosmetics; and Rita L. Zimmerman, deputy director at the Department of Citizen Services.
UWCM's Community Partnership Board members help the organization identify and address the needs of the community at a local level, serving as its eyes and ears in Carroll County. The Community Partnership Board members take the lead in grant funding decision-making, and raise awareness about UWCM's programs in the County.
