Firefighters put out New Year's Eve car fire on West Old Liberty Road; investigation underway

Ten firefighters from the Winfield volunteer fire company responded to a vehicle fire on West Old Liberty Road in Westminster at about 1:25 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, fire officials said.

A neighbor discovered the fire initially, and it reportedly took fire personnel 20 minutes to get it under control.

The 2009 Honda was damaged, but there were no injuries or deaths reported, nor any arrests made, according to a release from the Office of the State Fire Marshal.

The estimated value of the loss is $9,000.
