Week Ahead: Antique Auto Swap Meet set for March 23-24

Hundreds of vendors and thousands of enthusiasts are expected to gather during the two-day Antique Auto Swap Meet, hosted by the Sugarloaf Mountain Region Antique Automobile Club of America. This annual event is in its 48th year.

Held on March 23 and 24 in the Carroll County Ag Center, 706 Agriculture Center Drive, Westminster, the event draws vendors offering all manner of goods and services related to antique auto, motorcycle, street rod and custom auto parts, services and restoration supplies, tools and equipment for commercial and novice hobbyists.

“As the end of winter approaches and the start of auto racing, restoration, cruising and modifications to the existing car, truck or motorcycle gets underway, this show brings all levels of automotive enthusiasts, hobbyists and beginners,” organizers wrote on a Facebook page created for the event.

The show is held indoors and the building is heated. Additional vendors set up in the adjoining parking lots.

Guests can purchase Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) merchandise at the show to benefit the AACA library in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Information will be available for those wishing to join the organization.

Doors open at 8 a.m. both Friday and Saturday. The event is billed as family friendly. Admission for adults is $2. Children 10 and under are free. Overnight parking is available.
