Carroll County Career and Technology Center students will strut their stuff this week at the school’s annual fashion show.
The event, which will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 12 at the Tech Center in Westminster, is a chance for students in the Textiles and Fashion Design program to show off their creations. Those interested in tickets can call the school at 410-751-3669 for more information. Last year, the show featured 14 senior designers from the program who showcased their individual 18-piece collections.
Throughout the evening, students walk up and down a runway in the school and posing for photos as an audience of friends, family and community members watch.
But while the night is about the students in the Textiles and Fashion program, it’s a group effort. Last year, students from not only the fashion program, but also those in cosmetology, culinary arts, video production, print production and carpentry helped.
Cosmetology students helped with hair and makeup, culinary students prepared snacks for those attending and carpentry worked to set the runway and surrounding decorations up.
