Spring Garden Elementary School students were dismissed early, at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, due to a water line break.
But the problem, which affected flushing toilets and drinking water, was fixed by 3 p.m.
“They were able to get the part,” said Carey Gaddis, public information specialist for Carroll County Public Schools. “It’s been repaired.”
Gaddis said according to the Facilities Management Department, the issue was different from the water problem at Sandymount Elementary School two months ago — when flooding was caused by a burst heating coil.
“It had to do with flushing toilets and water you drink,” she said.
Students and faculty will be able to return to classes at their normal time on Monday, Jan. 14.
