A man was transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center by Maryland State Police helicopter Thursday evening following a crash in the 500 block of East Saw Mill Road at about 7:15 p.m.
According to a news release from the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, fire companies, EMS and law enforcement responded to the area to find a single-vehicle collision involving a 2000 Honda and a tree.
Kevin D. Buser, 45, of Westminster, was trapped in the vehicle. Emergency crews worked to extricate him. He was transported to shock trauma with serious injuries, according to the release.
Preliminary investigation revealed Busar’s Honda was traveling south on East Saw Mill when the vehicle left the roadway and struck the tree, according to the release.
Members of the Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Unit are investigating the cause of the collision.
