The sleeper cab of a tractor trailer caught fire late Saturday in Manchester and the Office of the State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause.
Firefighters responded at about 11:03 p.m. to a 2000 Peterbilt 379 sleeper cab, owned by Liberty Haulers, burning in the 4500 block of Wentz Road, according to a news release from the fire marshal’s office. The occupant discovered the fire and there were no injuries.
Ten Manchester firefighters got the blaze under control in about 20 minutes, the release states. The estimated loss is $35,000.
Where the fire started in the truck cab and how it began are under investigation, the release reads.
