Carroll County Transit System will reopen three TrailBlazer bus routes with shorter hours on Monday.
The two Westminster black and purple routes and North Carroll orange route will reopen, according to a Thursday news release from Carroll County Government. Schedules will be the same as they were before the shutdown, but with shorter hours in the afternoon.
Buses will transport passengers at up to 50% capacity to allow for physical distancing, the release reads. Additional buses will be on stand-by in the area if a bus reaches capacity and passengers remain.
“There are still a handful of locations on each route, not yet open to the public, so CTS will use those stop times to wipe down highly touched areas, such as handrails and seat backs,” the release states.
Those sanitation breaks are noted in the route schedule.
Drivers and riders are still required to wear a mask or face covering to board a Carroll Transit vehicle. Facial coverings must be worn for the entirety of the trip, including when entering and exiting the vehicle, according to the release.
Carroll Transit remains permitted for essential travel only, as defined by the governor and Carroll County Board of Commissioners.
