Sykesville trash pick-up postponed due to weather

The Town of Sykesville is postponing typical Wednesday trash pick-up until Friday.

Due to the impending inclement weather and the unpredictability of the timing of the storm, the Department of Public Works decided to postpone trash pick-up that was scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 20, to Friday, Feb. 22.

“Do not put your cans at the curb until Thursday night,” states the Feb. 19 media release. “The change to pick-up is necessary to allow our crews to focus on keeping the roads and our employees safe.

“Please use caution if you must drive [Wednesday],” it continues. “Currently the recycling pick-up on Thursday remains unchanged. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.”
