“Everyone loves chocolate and this is a family-friendly event caters to all ages,” said Amie McCaslin, the owner of A La Mode Boutique. The store will offer complimentary hot cocoa on the back porch and free hot cocoa lip balm with any purchase of $15 or more.

“We wanted to give people a reason to come out and support their local Main Street. We’re hoping to make it an annual thing.”

Downtown Sykesville Connection Director Julie Della-Maria said Cocoa Crawl commemorative Sykesville mugs will be available to purchase for $5 at the Patapsco Distilling Company (upstairs event room). Proceeds will go to the Downtown Sykesville Connection to reinvest in future events.

“We want our community to get together every month of the year and this is a good way to attract people to downtown,” Della-Maria said. “It’s also a way to show customer appreciation and say thank you to the customers after a great holiday season.”
