In addition, Shoemaker was reelected to the chair position of the Carroll County House Delegation unanimously by the 10 delegation members present. Sen. Justin Ready presides as the Delegation Chair for the Senate side.
The delegation chair is responsible for all county legislation, organizes delegation meetings, and works directly with the county Commissionerss to implement local legislation required on a state level, according to the release.
Shoemaker is quoted in the release as saying he is “grateful to continue serving and representing the people in both capacities.”
