The Shepherd’s Staff is looking for Easter donations through April 5 as part of the nonprofit’s annual Easter Basket Drive.

In preparation for the Easter holiday on April 21, The Shepherd’s Staff is asking for Easter baskets with items suitable for children of all genders and ages ranging from infant to teen, according to a media release.

Baskets can contain non-candy snacks, but should focus on age-appropriate small times such as coloring books, sports balls, games, play dough, jump ropes, crayons, craft kids and Christian story books, according to the release.

Nonprofit View: Shepherd's Staff 'amazingly grateful' for donors, volunteers

We are “amazingly grateful” and would like to thank our supporters, donors and volunteers as we cannot do what we do without you. As a privately funded 501c3 we are merely your hands in this community.

Donations should be made in person at The Shepherd’s Staff office at 30 Carroll Street, in Westminster during normal business hours: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays, 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursdays.

Donations will be accepted until April 15 and distributed to families from April 8 through April 19, an effort The Shepherd’s Staff has taken on for two decades now, according to the release.

“Thanks to the generosity of the community, we were able to distribute over 1,100 Easter baskets to families in Carroll County last year,” Executive Director Brenda Meadows is quoted as having said in the release. “Our goal is to make sure every child in Carroll County is able to have an Easter basket and we are thankful for all of the donations we receive.”
