Maryland fire marshal seeks help identifying vehicle connected to suspected arson of shed in Westminster

The Office of the State Fire Marshal is asking the public for help in identifying the owners of a vehicle allegedly connected with the arson of a shed in Westminster on Sunday, April 7.

At about 7 a.m. Sunday, firefighters responded to a report of a building fire at 1025 Tracy Meadows Drive in Westminster, according to a news release, where they extinguished a burning shed.

The fire did an estimated $10,000 in damage, according to the release, and investigators believe the blaze was set intentionally.

The same vehicle was later seen 1200 block of Emerald Ridge Road in Westminster, according to the release, where six pressure washers, a lawn mower and other tools were stolen in reported cases of trespassing and burglary.

Anyone with information about the vehicle, its owner or the fire is asked to call the fire marshal at 410-836-4844, or the Maryland State Police at 410-386-3000 and then ask for the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
