The data collected will help ensure the input of parents and students is included in long-term planning, according to the release.

The survey is a program of Project Tomorrow, an education focused nonprofit based in Irvine, California, and has been used by more than 30,000 schools since 2003 to aid in technology-related planning, according to the Project Tomorrow website.
