Maryland State Police investigating armed robbery of Westminster Royal Farms store

Maryland State Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Royal Farms on Md. 140 near Westminster on Wednesday night.
At approximately 10:22 p.m., an unidentified white male entered to the store in the 1800 block of Baltimore Blvd., Trooper Christopher Plumadore of the Maryland State Police Criminal Enforcement Division said.
The individual displayed a black and possibly chrome handgun, entered the store and accosted a clerk, Plumadore said. He directed the clerk to the registers and demanded money. Upon obtaining money the suspect fled on foot to the rear of the business toward Nelson’s Service Center where a vehicle may have been waiting.
The suspect appeared to be wearing some type of covering on his hands that has yet to be determined, according to police.
The suspect was wearing a red bandanna across his face, and a black jacket with a white logo over the left breast, police said. The suspect had a black hood pulled up over his head, was wearing dark blue jeans, and what appeared to be green or tan boots.
Police have released photos of the suspect and asked that anyone with information call 410-386-3000.
