Carroll County road, utilities construction schedule for the week of Jan. 28

This week in Carroll County residents can expect to see various Bureau of Engineering, Bureau of Roads Operations and Bureau of Utilities Construction projects underway.

Kibler Construction began performing a bridge replacement at Cape Horn Road near the intersection with Harvey Gummel Road in Manchester through the Engineering Bureau on Monday, Jan. 28, that should continue through the beginning of February.

A culvert project on Millers Station Road in Hampstead by Triangle Contracting LLC. will also be in progress through the Bureau of Roads Operations.

Utilities projects this week include replacing water meters, replacing bolts on water valves, and sewer-line cleaning in Sykesville and Union Bridge.

The following replacements are taking place in Sykesville: Water meters will be replaced by the Carroll County Bureau of Utilities at McBeth Way, and Mineral Hill and Melville roads. The bolts and water valves will be replaced by Highland Turf Inc. at Red Frontier, Guthrie and Osage courts; and River, Stillwater and Washita roads.

The sewer-line cleaning, to be done by Specialized Pipe Technologies, is slated for Bark Hill Road in Union Bridge.
