The Carroll County Circle of Caring Homelessness Board is seeking volunteers for its Point-in-Time homelessness count for early 2019.
The count is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 22 with a rain/snow date of Tuesday, Jan. 29. Volunteers will attend a training from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, at the Carroll County Health Department.
The Point-in-Time count is part of a national effort by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to tally the homeless population, but will also provide local agencies and nonprofits with information that can guide homelessness outreach and help in obtaining grants.
Anyone interested in volunteering should respond by Dec. 1 by contacting Chelsea Garvey at 410-386-3600 or email@example.com.
