Northwest Middle School will host a family-friendly magic show, Fool of Illusions, starring comedy illusionist Reggie Rice, at Francis Scott Key High School on Saturday, June 8, at 6 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased in advance online at www.foolofillusions.com/shows for just $10 (kids younger than 3 are free). Purchase your tickets in advance — they are $15 the night of the performance!
According to the Fool of Illusions website, “This Three-time DC Comedy Magician of the Year shows his goofy, lovable personality, and brings a unique, high-energy experience to the Stand-up Comedy stage. Reggie Rice blends magic, music, dancing, and comedy as he takes performing to the new level of entertainment.”
The event, coordinated in collaboration with the School Improvement Team, the PBIS Committee (Positive Behavior Interventions) and the student government at Northwest, is open to all members of the community.
Annie Cumberland, media specialist and School Improvement Team chairwoman at Northwest Middle, indicated the staff at Northwest was looking into ways to better serve students and families and bring the community together.
She said, “We thought hosting a magic show for all of the FSK feeder schools [Runnymede, Elmer Wolfe and Taneytown] (and any other community members as well) would be a fun way to bring everyone together in a family-friendly atmosphere.”
Francis Scott Key High School is at 3825 Bark Hill Road in Union Bridge.
