This Thursday, come to Baldwin’s Station and enjoy the melodies of Celtic lands and the Appalachians with composer and multi-instrumentalist Robin Bullock.
Bullock plays the guitar, cittern and mandolin. He was a founding member of the trio Helicon.
Throughout his solo career, he has received many awards, including three from the Washington Area Music Association. Bullock has also received the Governor’s Award from the Maryland State Arts Council.
His music has also been featured on “The Thistle & Shamrock,” which is a National Public Radio’s popular Celtic music program.
According to Trad magazine in France, Bullock has a “Dazzling spirit … what he offers is not just virtuosity for the sake of virtuosity, but also the sensibility of one on a quest between past & present, traditional & modern.”
Admission to the concert is $20. It starts at 7:30 p.m., though the doors open at 6 p.m. for those who would like to dine at Baldwin’s Station.

Escape from the Eldersburg branch library
This Thursday, the Eldersburg branch library will be hosting its Escape Room throughout the day for kids and adults who would like to be challenged and win prizes.
The first Escape Room session will be hosted at 1:30 p.m., then again at 2:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.
The event is for kids ages 11 years to adults, and the library encourages family and friends to attend as a group. They will have different clues available, and the groups will be able to solve all the puzzles to open the locks and break into the prize bag.

Memory Writing program at Bistro 91
The Mount Airy branch library will be hosting its Memory Writing program at Bistro 91 this Friday.
Throughout the program, the attendees will be able to create a journal of memories and use the time to free-write about their experiences.
This program is hosted every month with a different topic, and it is targeted to adults.
The program starts at 2 p.m. Bistro 91 is located at 3000 Gamber Road in Finksburg.
