Ready for a bone-chilling, screaming inducing good time? Then creep on over to the annual Bedlam in the Boro held in Lineboro.
Featured attractions are the Haunted Hayride and the House of Horror. The attractions are open every Friday and Saturday night in October. The ticket booth opens at 7 p.m. and closes at 10:30 p.m., however, attractions will remain open until all customers are through.
The family-friendly event will have food available for purchase, music and games every night.
On Oct. 14 and Oct. 21, they will be operating the Bedlam Bypass, which is a non-scary hayride geared towards younger children, that may not be quite ready for the Haunted Hayride. The event will run from 2 to 4 p.m., weather permitting. Each child will receive a pumpkin at the end of the hayride. The cost is $5 per person; coupons are not valid for this event.
The prices are adult combo, $16 for both attractions, or $14 with a coupon, which can be found on fliers in the community and their website; $10 for youth combo, ages 7 and younger, for both attractions; adult hayride, $12; child hayride, 8 and younger, $8; adult House of Horror, $10; House of Horror child, age 8 and younger, $8; Adult RIP, $25, skip the line for both attractions; and Child RIP, ages 8 and younger, $20 (skip the line for both attractions).

Coffeehouse for a Cause
St. Paul’s Church in Millers is hosting their annual Coffeehouse for a Cause on Saturday, Oct. 13.
The doors and kitchen will open at 6 p.m. There is no charge for admission, food and beverages, however, freewill financial donations are requested to support this year’s cause. The non-profit that will benefit from the Coffeehouse is a Christian ministry, First Fruits Farm, located in Freeland, provides fresh and nutritious produce to those experiencing hunger in the Mid-Atlantic region. The organization has provided more than 13.4 million pounds of fruits and vegetables to share with local food banks, homeless shelters, soup kitchens and other food providers since 2004.
The benefit will conclude at approximately 9 p.m., with instrumental and vocal performances entertaining with music ranging from bluegrass to gospel songs, to folk.
During the coffeehouse, the church will serve barbecue sandwiches, tacos-in-a bag, hot dogs, snacks, desserts, and hot and cold beverages.

Wow, only about 3 weeks until Halloween. Before you know we will be stuffing ourselves on turkey, and then wading through a sea of wrapping paper from the Christmas aftermath.
I bet your schedule is jam-packed and you feel like when you get home from work, that dinner is the furthest thing from your mind, and on the weekends, even further.
Join the congregation at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Hampstead for their Spaghetti Dinner on Saturday, Oct. 13 and let them do the cooking and the cleanup.
The dinner will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. and is open to the entire community. The dinner consists of spaghetti and meatballs, salad, garlic bread and a drink.
Suggested donations are $8 for ages 12 and older, $5 for ages 4 to 11, and free for those younger than 4.

NCSC trip planned
The members of the North Carroll Senior Center are itching to get out and have some fun again. Another trip is planned and this one is for Dec. 22.
The trip will be to the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra to listen to the Holiday Pops program, with a dinner at Friendly Farms Restaurant. The bus will leave the senior center at 1:15 p.m. and return at 7:45 p.m.
