In honor of the town’s Quasquicentennial, Mount Airy will create a compilation video of the town and its residents.
On Saturday, May 18, the Community Media Center of Carroll County will record interviews with Mount Airy residents. The residents are being asked to talk about what they experienced in the town from early days to the present, according to a news release.
Interviews will be conducted from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in two rooms for 30-minute segments.
The interview will include guide questions, such as “What is the biggest change you have seen in your area over the years? “What are some of the traditions of the town?” and “Tell me about town resident you looked up to when you were growing up.”
The final product will be individual videos and a 5- to 7-minute compilation video. The town will provide still photos, videos or historical documents to enhance the video, according to the press release.
Links to individual videos and the compilation will be available online on the Town of Mt. Airy website and social media platforms. The interviews will also be aired on Channel 19 and on the Community Media Center’s online archive and the compilation video will be aired in channel 23, according to the press release.
