From festivals to special meals, there are various offerings this Mother’s Day weekend in Carroll County for those looking to make the holiday memorable for mom.

Westminster Flower and Jazz Festival

This Saturday, Westminster will hold its 27th annual Flower and Jazz Festival. Anyone interested can start the day off with a 5K run or walk before the festival, and work up an appetite for the multiple food vendors at the events. You can also enjoy live music, dancing and, of course, the flowers.

Westminster residents hope to celebrate spring this Saturday at the 27th annual Flower and Jazz Festival and 5K — without any unwelcome rain.

Shiloh Pottery Mothers’ Day Weekend Studio Show and Sale

Take your mother and spend the day at the farm to watch raku and wheel-throwing demonstrations. There will also be farm animals to view. Refreshments and recipes will be available.

Annual Pre-Mother's Day Jazz Brunch

For the fan of reggae, R&B and Caribbean music, this festival offers an opportunity for a vibrant day out, complete with food and craft vendors, and Maryland wineries Basignani Winery and DeJon Vineyard.

Reisterstown Bloomin’ ArtFest

Reisterstown will celebrate its 13th annual Bloomin’ ArtFest this Saturday — providing a chance to either make or buy a last-minute Mother’s Day gift. The festival features juried art, crafts, live music, food vendors, a children’s play area, garden plants and decor. Attendees will also get the chance to meet authors and gardeners.

The Mount Airy Tavern will serve two separate buffets on Mother’s Day. The brunch buffet will have Maryland crab soup, scrambled eggs, frittatas, hash browns, crab cakes, steamed shrimp, bread pudding and more. The dinner buffet has have some of the same foods but also has baked salmon, shrimp and crab Chesapeake pasta, lemon dill rock fish, and more. The brunch will cost $25.50 per adult and $12.50 for kids ages 6 through 12. The dinner will cost $32.50 per adult and $14.50 for kids ages 6 through 12. Both meals are free for kids 5 and younger.
