Sykesville mentalist Dan Eckert stood at the front of an intimate dinner party crowd at Baldwin’s Station’s Southside Tap Room on Friday evening.
His hair was slightly parted at the side and a pair of round maroon spectacles sat on the bridge of his nose.
Beside him stood his wife and fellow mentalist Kat Eckert in a sleek black jumpsuit with a high neck and open back. A black headband rested over her shoulder-length hair, and around her neck was a long gold necklace.
“I’m shaking so much,” Dan Eckert said as audience member Tina Rivenbark pulled open the sealed tab of a FedEx envelope with signatures from all those who were present when he made the headline prediction on Feb. 13
In addition to the headline predictions, the mentalists had the card Brooks picked out of a deck — a five of diamonds — also in a sealed manila envelope at the back of the room, and correctly matched audience members with the cards on which they wrote their favorite vacation place.
