The county is currently in the midst of the large project of updating its zoning code for the first time since the 1960s, eliminating old categories and introducing new names.

Eisenberg and other county officials have been engaging in public outreach to make sure people understand the process and make it clear that no one will have to move or shutter their business if their zoning desigation changes. More information on the rezoning effort can be found online at www.CarrollRezoning.org.

Eisenberg will also address Finksburg’s being designated a Maryland Sustainable Community.

More information on the meeting can be found by visiting www.facebook.com/events/2301279366813239.

The Finksburg Planning and Citizens Council is not an elected body, but a nonprofit community organization that meets at the library branch at 7 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of each month.
