North Carroll-area Lions clubs holding ‘Home Pickup Food Drive’ on Saturday, May 2

A pair of service organizations in the North Carroll area have organized a food drive and those wishing to donate don’t even have to leave their house.

“Home Pickup Food Drive” by the Lineboro-Manchester Lions Club and the Hampstead Lions Club is set for Saturday, May 2, starting at 10 a.m., to benefit North Carroll communities.

To avoid personal contact, the Lions Clubs of Lineboro-Manchester and Hampstead are coming straight to any house wishing to donate in the 21102 or 21074 ZIP code. To participate, email lionshomepickupfooddrive@gmail.com (preferred) or call/text 443-789-1486 to have a house put on the pickup list. Then, they ask donors to just place items on the front porch.

The drive is accepting food items and cleaning supplies. All food collected will be donated to the following local food distribution centers: Immanuel Lutheran Church, Manchester Baptist, Tree of Friends Foundation, Lazarus United Church, NESAP (in Hampstead), and Hampstead’s Little Free Pantry. All cleaning supplies we will be distributed to local childcare facilities that are in need.
