The Hampstead Municipal Election Candidates Forum, co-sponsored by the Community Media Center and the Carroll County Times, is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 30 at Hampstead Town Hall, 1034 S. Carroll St.
Both candidates for mayor and all five candidates for two seats on the Town Council have committed to attending the approximately two-hour forum which will feature questions on issues such as the Main Street Revitalization Project, the town’s financial situation and the future of the North Carroll High School property, as well as questions from audience members.

In the mayoral race, Mayor Chris Nevin is seeking another term while Zach Tomlin is attempting to unseat him. For the council seats, incumbents Jim Roark and David Unglesbee are running against Tim Babylon, Daniel Collier and Holly Oertel.
The election will be held May 14 with voting at Town Hall from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
