County looking for evergreen tree donations

The Board of Carroll County Commissioners is seeking the donation of two evergreen trees of similar size and shape to be displayed in front of the main County Office Building.

The trees will be displayed on Center Street in Westminster, according to a news release from the county, and will be used in the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony.

The official Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place at 5 p.m. Dec. 10, according to the release.

The county is looking for trees that are 15 to 25 feet in height that are “easily accessible” and away from electrical lines, according to the release. County staff will manage all maintenance and transportation of the trees to Westminster.

The tree submission deadline is 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2018, according to the release.
