Carroll Community College hosting information sessions on health care, drone piloting

Carroll Community College will host free information sessions later this month at its Washington Road campus, at 1601 Washington Road in Westminster.

The Health Care Career Training session will take place Aug. 20 from 6-7:30 p.m. in Room M157. Attendees will receive an overview of the college’s non-credit health care career training programs and learn how to be job ready in as little as two months. Instructors and program managers will provide insight into high-demand, health care training programs including: Assisted Living Manager, Certified Nursing Assistant (CAN), Dental Assistant, EKG Technician, Emergency Medical Technician, Medical Assistant, Medical Biller, Medical Coder, Medical Transcription Editor, Medicine Aide, Pharmacy Technician, Phlebotomy Technician and Sterile Processing Technician.

The Commercial Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Drone Pilot Information Session will be held Aug. 27 in Room K132. Sessions will be offered from 9-10 a.m. or 6-7 p.m., and both will include a drone flight demonstration. Attendees will learn about classes and pathways for existing and aspiring drone pilots, FAA Certification and USI Safety Certification, as well as tuition assistance and payment plan options for the non-credit training program.
