A Westminster man was convicted Friday, Nov. 16, of forcible rape and related charges in York County, Pennsylvania.
Ethan Rippey, 23, was convicted of rape, forcible compulsion; involuntary deviant sexual intercourse, forcible compulsion; sexual assault and simple assault, following a three-day trial, according to a post on the York County District Attorney’s Office Facebook page.
Prosecutors said Rippey committed the crimes while he and the victim were students at York College.
A York City man is in prison after police said he raped and assaulted a 20-year-old woman last summer.
Authorities charged Ethan Rippey, 21, of 237 W.
On Nov. 18, 2017, the woman reached out to the York City Police Department to report she had been raped by Rippey from 11 p.m. Aug. 21 to 1 a.m. Aug. 22, according to court documents.
Rippey was remanded to York County prison pending sentencing, according to the district attorney’s office.
