Carroll County Health Department seeks dog that bit person in Lineboro

The Carroll County Health Department is seeking a black pit bull, or the dog’s owner, after the animal bit a person Tuesday in Lineboro.

According to a health department media release, the bite occurred around 3 p.m. on Young Man’s Fancy Drive, near Shaffer Mill Road.

The dog was described as a black pit bull with white on its chest wearing a red collar with tags.

Health department officials need to locate and confirm the health of the dog by Friday, Nov. 2, or else the bite victim will have to undergo a series of vaccinations to protect against rabies.
