The Community Media Center (CMC) is partnering with the Carroll County Times to hold a Board of Education candidates forum on Tuesday, Sept. 29 starting at 7 p.m.
The four candidates have all confirmed participation in the Board of Education Candidates Forum. They are Stephanie R. Brooks, Virginia R. Harrison, Marsha B. Herbert and Donna Sivigny. Of these four candidates, two will be elected to the Board of Education.
The forum will be broadcast live from the Community Media Center, however to ensure compliance with state and local social distancing guidelines, the forum venue will not be open to the public.
“The CMC is dedicated to local programming on local issues. Among our highest priorities is an informed electorate and ensuring our residents know more about the issues and the candidates," Richard Turner, executive director of the Community Media Center said.
Residents can watch the Board of Education Candidates Forum live on cable channel HD-1086, channel 19 and on a special election page of the Community Media Center’s website at www.carrollmediacenter.org. The Board of Education Candidates Forum will be rebroadcast on cable channels HD-1086 and channel 19 until Oct. 24.
Bob Blubaugh, editor of the Carroll County Times, will serve as the moderator for the event. The public is encouraged to submit questions prior to the forum by emailing them to bob.blubaugh@carrollcountytimes.com.
